C.R.E.S.T Environmental Training Patch Embroidery
Before
After
We digitized the emblem of C.R.E.S.T (Community Rooted Environmental Stewardship Training) into a vibrant, full-colour embroidered patch. The design shows a house rising above flood waters, a clear picture of climate resilience and community preparedness. It sits inside a navy ring with bold "C.R.E.S.T" lettering at the top and the full organisation name running around the bottom.
The main job was capturing depth and movement in the water. We built the waves from several layered tatami fills in graduated shades of blue, each with its own stitch angle, so the layers look like they're flowing across the patch. The breaking wave on the left is digitized with a curved stitch direction so its curl stands out. Red satin outlines give the house a crisp shape against the orange fill and the light sky. A white satin ring and white satin lettering make the text pop against the navy border. The long bottom arc of text has tight spacing and pull compensation, so every letter stays clean and readable at patch size.
The finished patch is colourful and durable, and it tells the program's story at a glance. It's ready for staff uniforms, volunteer gear, caps and bags.
